Warmth and time are the most crucial elements in establishing a cozy atmosphere. This month's designer, Leixuri, touched on the universal desire to create a welcoming space in any home. Leixuri started her journey in Environmental Sciences but found her passion for design in learning and achieving a Master's degree in Landscape Design.
We’re excited to feature Celeste Roberts, a talented interior designer with a flair for blending cultural influences and modern aesthetics. Known for her unique "Modern Mexi-Cali" style, Celeste brings a fresh, vibrant blend of her Mexican heritage and California upbringing into every space she touches.
Karyn and Jessica, the dynamic duo behind Bungalow 56 Design, grew up in the small town of Truckee, nestled by Lake Tahoe, CA. Their passion for design sparked at a young age, starting in the fashion industry during their teenage years.
Hila Eli's journey into the world of interior design started with a foundation in fashion and jewelry, which naturally evolved into her own interior design business. Collaborating closely with contractors and construction business owners, she cultivated a deep understanding of space planning, color theory, and design principles.
Estela "Stella" Leyva is the dynamic owner of Stellhous, known for her exceptional ability to help clients discover their inner selves through their tastes and transform their homes into stunning works of art. Stella’s journey into interior design began with a profound passion for creating beautiful and emotionally resonant spaces.
Treci Smith's venture into the world of interior design began with a deep-seated love for design. Her passion truly flourished when she had her children and found herself personalizing and designing their rooms. This creative endeavor quickly caught the attention of her family and friends, who began requesting her assistance with their own spaces.
From childhood, interior design has always ignited Abigail Leib's passion. Frequently rearranging her room, each makeover was a delightful surprise for her sister. When the pandemic struck, she found herself transforming her own space. Before long, friends sought her assistance with their homes too. And thus, Abbi Interiors came into existence. To her, it was all meant to be.
Meet Erin and Selena, the creative minds behind Fleurish Interiors, a design haven where style meets functionality seamlessly. With a passion for crafting spaces that inspire, they have curated a portfolio brimming with projects of all sizes over the past five years.
Syllis Cawker, originally from Brazil, embarked on a journey to California in 1994, driven by the allure of the California dream. After immersing herself in the vibrant culture of San Diego, she pursued her passion for interior design at the Design Institute of San Diego, earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts & Interior Design degree. Her career took her to Miami, where she honed her skills in a prominent architecture firm before returning to her beloved San Diego.
Meet Donna Holcombe, the creative force behind Seabright Lane Interiors, bringing her passion for design and a wealth of experience from the corporate world into the realm of interior design. After 18+ years in sales and marketing, Donna decided to follow her heart, earning an associate degree in interior design, and gaining hands-on industry experience at Shea Homes' design center.
As the year concludes, we’re reminded to reflect on the significance of our home life. Meet our next designer, Brianna Gallagher, principal designer at Sand and Spruce Interiors. Her motto, "bringing the outdoors in," is reflected in her love for the ocean and laid-back approach. Brianna's easygoing style encourages us to embrace the process of dressing our home space, fitting it to our lifestyle.
Renowned for her vibrant style and multicultural influences, Award-Winning Designer and #1 Best Selling Author, Rachel Moriarty, fearlessly incorporates bold colors and textures into her iconic designs. Drawing inspiration from her Mexican, Native American, and Filipino heritage, Rachel's unique American identity shines through in her work.
Kira Young, a certified interior designer, and Melissa Means, with a degree in interior design, bring a wealth of experience to High Tide Design. From commercial projects like resident clubhouses to cozy one-room makeovers, their backgrounds span various design fields. Kira's focus is on residential spaces, while Melissa specializes in conceptual design and technical drawings, extending her virtual assistance globally.
Our October 2023 feature designer hits a little closer to home for a variety of reasons. Each year, Mor Furniture partners with St. Jude to stage homes for their dream home raffle events. Mor Furniture’s very own Eric Fontes custom-designed every inch of the space for the Bakersfield Dream home and we could not be more pleased and proud of the end-result.
As summer winds down, our design studio is only heating up! All thanks to Alynn Etzler with San Diego Interior Design Group. Alynn and her company specialize in residential design doing remodels and then refurnishing the new space. To say that we were impressed with her take on the dreamy spaces she created for us is an understatement.
We’re back at it again this summer with another incredible design collaboration with our latest designer, Jen Guerin of JG Color Studios, executed by Heidi and Johnna. Jen joined us to create an incredible dining and living experience with her own unique touch.
The month of June brings us new design inspiration as we were joined by the fabulous duo of Leslie Spencer and Katherine Whittaker of Indie Interiors. Based out of North County San Diego, these friends and business partners create incredible spaces with dramatic style.
This month’s designer series collaboration takes us for a walk on the bright side with Sara Caligiuri! We were instantly captured by her unique and playful style and couldn’t wait to have her spend a day in the studio with us.
Our latest designer, Heather Miinch, couldn’t have been a more impressive force in our studio. When asked where she gets her inspiration from for her modern farmhouse style, it’s all a matter of family.
Laura expertly blends a mix of wood, pops of color, shapely accents and furniture, clean lines and natural elements. Her love of vibrant rugs and wall art is also key to tying a space together. We were ecstatic when she agreed to join us in our studio for a day and share her take on our furniture.
Julia Hu creates two room designs with the intention of creating clean, relaxing, and minimally styled spaces made to be practical, functional yet stylish.
We welcome the new year with Melanie from Raveinteriordesign who combines bright colors with retro funk to create amazing unique designs! We scoured through her Instagram and fell in love with her hands-on and DIY personality on interior design. She focuses on fun combination of colors on not just the furniture, but her walls! She loves wallpaper for how easy it is to use and how much it can change a room’s atmosphere.
We’ve come full circle with the last Designer of the Year! It’s been a wild ride of wonderfully creative individuals who’ve expressed their creative talents in our studio. We saved the best for last with Catrina Camp from ASR Design Studio!
Another month, another wonderful designer to enter our studio! This month we welcomed Ariel from ASRDesignStudio! She is a soon-to-be mother and a true Californian who loves nature, the beach, hiking and paddle-boarding. She takes inspiration from life and content she absorbs from social media to combine breathtaking designs.
The studio welcomed Jamie Zeppetella of therenovatedroost. She is a mother of 3 and a realtor who loves decorating and creating warm welcoming spaces in the home. Originally from Florida, she has since moved to Southern California and has lived here for 22 years. Jamie oozes positive and down-to-earth vibes that truly transcend into her room designs in the studio.
Who is our next designer for the Designer Series? It is Sarah Joy Schmidt! We dove into her Instagram and fell in love with the way she can picture the uniqueness and complexity of each of the spaces she designs. That is why we decided she would be a perfect fit as our next stylist for Designer Series.
